Our main operations are down in Mundhwa, near the Pune Cantonment area. It’s a massive site, and you can’t really miss the scale of it when you drive past the gates. This place has been part of the landscape for a long time, and the heat from the forge is something you never quite get used to, even after working here for years. It’s a gritty, loud, and very hot environment where we work with metal every single day. We don’t have the quiet, air-conditioned offices you see in the city center. Here, it’s all about the heavy hammers, the furnaces, and the smell of hot steel. There are hundreds of us working in shifts to keep the production moving around the clock. The ground sometimes vibrates when the heavy machinery is running at full tilt, which is just part of the job. We’ve seen Pune grow and change around us, but Mundhwa remains the industrial heart for us. It’s not a place for people who mind getting their clothes dirty or dealing with some sweat. We make parts that go into all sorts of machines and vehicles, which is serious work that requires a lot of attention to detail. We don’t go in for big speeches about what we do. We just focus on the metal and making sure the specifications are met before things ship. It’s hard work, but it’s what has kept this place running for decades.
