You can find us at Mitramandal Society on Shivdarshan Road. The shop number is 484/5, and we’ve been here long enough that most of the locals know where to go when a pipe bursts. We sell hardware and all kinds of sanitaryware, so the place is usually full of toilets, sinks, and stacks of PVC pipes. It’s not the most glamorous stuff to look at, but everyone needs it at some point. The shop gets a bit crowded because we try to keep a bit of everything in stock. You might have to sidestep a pile of faucets to get to the back. We don’t use any corporate talk or fancy slogans here. We just show people what we have and tell them if it’ll fit their plumbing or not. Shivdarshan Road can get busy, but our corner of the society stays relatively manageable. We spend a lot of time checking the threads on bolts or making sure the ceramic on a sink isn't cracked. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and rearranging the display. Sometimes we forget to update the price tags when things change, which causes a bit of a scramble at the counter. But we’re just regular people trying to keep the business going. We don’t have a mission statement; we just want to make sure the parts we sell actually work when you get them home.
