We are over in Kharadi, near the Mundhwa Bridge. The exact spot is S No 20-2. If you’ve been to Pune lately, you know how much this area is growing. It’s loud and there’s construction everywhere. Our office is right in the middle of it all. We aren't a big organization with a lot of money. It’s just a few of us who decided that something needed to be done about the situation on the streets. We spend most of our time outside, so the office is often empty or just has one person answering the phone. It’s a bit cluttered with papers and old boxes. We don't have a fancy website or a polished image. We’re just trying to do some practical work. Some days are really tough and we wonder if we’re getting anywhere, but then something small happens that makes it feel worth it. We don't have a board of directors or anything like that. We just make decisions as we go. Sometimes we get it wrong, and we just try again. It’s not a corporate job. It’s just something we feel needs doing in our city. People in Kharadi know us as the folks who are always out and about. We don't use big words to describe what we do. It’s just hard, daily work and we try to keep our heads down and get on with it. It’s simple as that.
