Basil Foundation

Basil Foundation operates out of the Shiddheshwar Prasad Building, located at Survey Number 31/3. We are in the Dhankawadi area of Pune, with the pincode 411043. Dhankawadi is a busy place with lots of students and families living nearby. The building itself is a standard concrete structure, nothing too special to look at from the outside. We have our office space here where we manage everything for the foundation. It’s often a bit cluttered with papers and books, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big budget for interior design, so the walls are just plain and the furniture is what we could find that was sturdy and cheap. It gets the job done. Most of the time, there’s a bit of traffic noise coming from the street, and you can hear the local shops opening up in the morning. We like being in this part of Pune because it feels very grounded and real. There are no fancy cafes right next door, just the usual small tea stalls and kirana stores. We go about our work in a very quiet way, without trying to draw too much attention to ourselves. It’s just a group of us trying to keep things organized and making sure the foundation’s tasks are completed every week. We don't have a mission statement on the wall; we just have a to-do list that keeps us busy from morning until evening.
