You can find us at House No 4/82 in the Madanlal Bohara Kapadmarket. This is right in the heart of Ichalkaranji. If you’ve ever been here, you know how loud and busy the cloth market is. Basantprem Textiles Exims is right in the thick of it. There are trucks and handcarts moving through the narrow lanes all day long. The air is always thick with the smell of new cotton and the sound of power looms from the neighboring buildings. We spend our days tucked inside this house, dealing with the export and import side of things. It’s a bit cramped because we have so much stock piled up. We don't have any air conditioning, just a few old ceiling fans that struggle in the heat. We know all the other traders on this street by name. We often sit on the floor to inspect the fabric when a new batch comes in. It’s the way we’ve always done it. There is no corporate polish here, just honest work and a lot of sweat. We handle all the paperwork ourselves at a small wooden desk near the front door. The market closes late, so we are often here until the sun goes down. It’s a tough environment but there is a certain rhythm to it that we like. We just keep our heads down and try to keep up with the demand for shipments.
