Barne Brother M/s R D Barne Transport

The transport business is never really quiet. We are located over in Chinchwad, right across from the Padamji Paper Mill at Barne Estate. You can’t miss the trucks lined up outside most mornings. R D Barne Transport has been our life for quite a while. We spend most of our hours talking to drivers, checking logbooks, and making sure the vehicles are in decent shape to hit the road. It’s a lot of grease and diesel smell around here. Our office is just a small room at the estate where we keep the keys and the paperwork. It’s nothing special to look at. We have a few chairs that have seen better days and a desk that’s always covered in delivery slips. People come and go at all hours. Sometimes a driver comes back late, and we have to be here to settle the accounts. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. Most of our work comes from people who know the Barne brothers and know we’ve been in the area for years. The paper mill across the street is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. It’s a tough job sometimes, especially when the traffic is bad or a truck breaks down, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep things moving and try to stay on schedule. That’s just the daily routine for us at the yard.
