Shah Industries

Our shop is located at Plot E-195 in the MIDC area of Baramati. Being out here in Pune district means we are surrounded by a lot of other factories and units. It’s a busy spot. We focus on general engineering and fabrication work. Usually, our mornings are spent drinking tea and going over the schedule for the machines. We deal with a lot of steel and metal components. Some days are smoother than others. When a machine breaks down, the whole day changes, but that’s the reality of running a place like Shah Industries. We have a handful of workers who have been with us for years. They know the equipment better than anyone. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for a long time. They just call us up and ask if we can make something. We say yes or no based on how busy the floor is. The air in the MIDC is always thick with the smell of oil and metal, and our place is no different. It’s not a glamorous job, but it pays the bills and keeps the guys busy. We try to keep our workspace organized, though it gets messy when we have a big project going on. That’s just part of the process of making things out of heavy metal day after day.
