Ballroom Buzz

Our place is located on 7th Main Road in Aundh. It’s a nice enough area, usually staying pretty calm compared to the busy center of town. We started this because we wanted a space where people could just move around and enjoy themselves for a bit. It’s not a fancy studio with velvet curtains or expensive lighting. It’s just a good wooden floor and some mirrors on the walls. People come by after their work is done to move around a bit. We try to keep the music at a decent volume so the neighbors don’t have much to complain about. It’s a lot of fun seeing people get better at their steps over the weeks. We don’t have a big corporate structure or managers running around. It’s just a couple of us managing the schedule and keeping the floor clean. The floor needs a lot of sweeping because of all the shoes coming in from the street. Sometimes we have tea together after a long session is over. It feels more like a community thing than a strict business to us. We don’t spend any money on glossy brochures or big advertisements. If you walk past on 7th Main, you can usually hear the music and see us through the window. We like it that way because it feels real. Just a spot in Aundh where people can be themselves for an hour. Some nights are busier than others depending on the weather.
