Avinash Haval Architect

I am usually at the office here in Deccan Gymkhana 1249/50 early in the morning before the traffic gets too loud. It’s a busy spot but we like it. Most days you’ll find Avinash Haval at the back desk looking over drawings or talking to a contractor on the phone. We’ve been at this address for quite some time now and it feels like home. There are always rolls of paper laying around and the smell of coffee. We don't have a big fancy reception area or anything like that. It is just a workspace where things get done. People walk in with their ideas and we try to get them down on paper as clearly as possible. Sometimes the printer acts up and we spend half the morning fixing it but that is just how it goes. We know the neighbors and the tea stall nearby. Working as an architect here means dealing with a lot of different people every day. We spend hours measuring and checking things. It isn't always exciting work but it is what we do. If you stop by 1249/50 you might have to move a few files just to find a place to sit down. We try to keep things organized but when you are busy that is hard. Most of the time it's just us focusing on the next set of plans. We usually close up when it gets dark and the street lights come on.
