Our place is at Plot No. 31 in Chinchwad, right across from the Gajanan Apartments. If you know Pune, you know Chinchwad is where all the action is for car parts. We do stamping and we put assemblies together. It’s a noisy environment with the presses running, but that’s the nature of the work. We take sheets of metal and turn them into the shapes that cars need. Then we weld or join them into bigger pieces. It’s repetitive work, but it has to be done right every single time or the parts won't fit. The shop floor is usually busy from morning until late evening. We’ve got a good group of guys here who know how to handle the machinery. Being right opposite the apartments means we have to be careful about not making too much of a mess outside our gates. The plot is a decent size for what we do. We don't have a fancy reception or a lobby. You just walk in and you're pretty much in the middle of it all. We just focus on getting the orders out on time. If a machine breaks down, we fix it ourselves and keep going. It’s the kind of place where you learn by doing. We aren't big on meetings; we’d rather just be out there working on the metal and getting the shipments ready for the trucks.
