Nana Peth is a busy place, especially around Sant Kabir Chowk where our shop is. We are at 514-B, and if you have ever been down this way, you know how crowded the streets get with all the shops and people moving parts around. We have been selling auto components for a long time. It’s mostly just shelves filled with boxes from the floor to the ceiling. Sometimes it is a bit hard to find exactly what a customer is looking for right away, but we eventually get there. We don't have a fancy computer system to track every little bolt, so we rely on what we know is back there. The shop gets pretty dusty because of all the traffic outside, so we spend a lot of time just wiping things down. It is a family thing, my father spent most of his life here and now I am doing the same. We know the other shop owners on the block, and we often send people to each other if we don't have a specific part in stock. It’s just how things work in this part of town. We don't do any big marketing or anything like that. People just know we are here at the chowk. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to mechanics and drivers all day long. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall next door while we wait for the next person to come in. It is noisy and hectic but we like it.
