You can find us over at D-2, Block Link Road, in the MIDC area of Chinchwad. Atlas Automotive Compounds Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this spot for a good while. The Link Road gets pretty congested with trucks, especially in the mornings. We work with different compounds for the car industry, which basically means a lot of mixing and testing. It smells like rubber and chemicals around here most of the time, but you get used to it after a week. Our building isn't anything to look at, just a standard industrial block. Inside, it's mostly equipment and stacks of raw materials waiting to be processed. We aren't trying to win any beauty contests with the facility. We just focus on getting the mix right so the parts don't fail later on. The guys in the shop are usually covered in some kind of dust or residue. It’s a messy job but someone has to do it. We have a small office where we keep the records, but most of the action is on the floor. Chinchwad is a good spot for us because of all the other factories nearby. We often trade tools or advice with the shop next door. It’s a tight-knit industrial community. We don't do much advertising; we just stick to our schedules and try to get things shipped out on time. It’s just a normal day-to-day grind for us here in the MIDC.
