Associated Designers

You can find us on the 4th floor of Bilwa Nidhi, right on Bajirao Road in Shukrawar Peth. Being up on the fourth floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below, which is always packed with traffic. Associated Designers has been around this area for quite some time. We’re a small group that focuses on design work, mostly for local buildings and interiors. The elevator in the building can be a bit slow, so we often end up taking the stairs. Our office is full of drawings, rulers, and old project files. It’s a working office, not a gallery. We spend a lot of time debating over small details in the plans. Sometimes we agree, and sometimes we have to draw it out three different ways to see what works best. Customers come in and we sit around the big table to look at blueprints. It’s a lot of technical work, but we try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. Shukrawar Peth is a historic part of town, so we often have to think about how our new designs fit in with the older structures. We don't have a big marketing budget or a flashy website. We just focus on the projects we have and try to do right by the people who hire us. It’s a busy life, but we like being right in the heart of the city. We keep at it every day.
