Ashraf Auto Garage

The garage is right across from the Bajaj Allianz building in Yerwada. It gets pretty loud around here because of all the traffic near Gunjan Chowk Circle. Ashraf started this place because he liked fixing things with his hands. Most days we are just covered in oil and trying to figure out why a car won't start. It is not a fancy workshop with air conditioning or anything like that. We have our tools spread out and there is usually a pot of tea sitting somewhere. People from the neighborhood bring their vehicles when something sounds wrong. We spend a lot of time under hoods or crawling around on the floor. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons. Sometimes we have five cars lined up and other days it is just one old van that needs a lot of work. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know how engines work. The address is 41427 and we have been in this spot for a good while now. You can see the Gunjan Chowk traffic from the entrance. It is a basic setup but it works for us and the people who live nearby. We just focus on getting the job done so people can get back on the road. There is always an old tire or a spare part lying around the corner. We keep it simple and just do the work.
