Ashok Kawde Foundation

Our office is Shop No G 09 at the Mahaganpati building. We are in the Shri Ashtavinayak Vasahat II area in Gangapur J. It’s a small shop, like many others in the colony. The Ashok Kawde Foundation was started to help out with things around here that people usually ignore because they are too busy. It’s not a very large space, just enough for a couple of desks and some chairs for visitors who drop by. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or high-tech systems. Most of our work is done through talking to people and seeing what the local needs are on a daily basis. The area is mostly residential, so we get a lot of neighbors dropping by in the evenings. Sometimes they bring snacks or just come to vent about something bothering them. We don't have a set schedule where everything is perfectly timed and planned out. Some days are very slow, and others we are swamped with people asking for help. We try to stay humble and just do the work without making a big fuss or printing brochures. The shop gets a bit dusty since it's on the ground floor, so we’re always wiping down the tables in the morning. We like being part of this community. It feels right to be where the people are instead of in some high-rise building somewhere else. We don't have a marketing team at all.
