Artist 16

We are based in the Warje area of Pune. It’s a place that has changed a lot over the years, going from a quiet outskirts spot to a busy part of the city. Artist 16 isn't a big agency with shiny glass walls; it’s just a workspace where we get our hands dirty with different creative projects. The room we work in is filled with all sorts of things, from old sketches to half-finished models. We don't really bother with keeping it perfectly tidy because we’re always in the middle of something. Most of us have lived in Pune for a long time, so we know the vibe of the city well. We don't have a formal way of doing things. If someone has an idea, they just shout it out. We eat our lunch together most days, usually something brought from home or picked up from a nearby stall. The traffic in Warje can be quite a headache in the evenings, so we often stay back a bit late to let it clear out. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most famous. We just like making things and being part of the local community. It’s a simple life, and we are happy with it. Sometimes the work is hard and the deadlines are tight, but we just put our heads down and get on with it without making a fuss. We've got a small balcony where we keep some plants, though we often forget to water them.
