Artdesh Foundation

We are over at Artdesh Foundation, located at 8 Pushp Bunglow in Vichumbe Village. It’s right near the railway track in Panvel, so we hear the trains go by pretty often throughout the day. The survey numbers for this spot are 150 and 151, if you are looking at the old maps of the area. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but we’ve gotten used to the quiet moments between the train schedules. Our office isn't anything fancy, just a regular space in a bungalow where we get our work done. Raigarh can be quite humid in the summer, but being close to the outskirts of Panvel gives us a bit more space than you’d find in the middle of the city. We’ve been here for a while now, and the neighbors in Vichumbe are mostly families who have lived here for generations. Sometimes the dust from the nearby tracks gets into the windows, so we keep them closed mostly. We spend our mornings going through paperwork and the afternoons dealing with whatever comes up. It’s a simple setup for the team here. We don't have a big reception desk or anything like that. Just some desks, a few chairs, and a lot of folders. The local chai stall is just a short walk away when we need a break. It feels like a real part of the community here in Maharashtra. It’s just how we do things. We keep the place clean ourselves and usually stay until the last train of the evening passes by.
