Arihant Interior Designer

We are based at the Kohinoor building, right by Nigdi Chowk. This area is always buzzing with traffic and people, which is great because it keeps us feeling connected to everything. Arihant Interior Designer is essentially a small studio where we spend our hours looking at floor plans and picking out samples. We share the space near the architect’s office, so there’s always a lot of talk about construction and measurements going on. Our desks are usually covered in wood chips, fabric swatches, and rolls of blueprints. It’s not a showroom where everything is perfect; it’s a workspace where the actual thinking and planning happen. Nigdi Chowk is a well-known landmark, so people don’t usually have trouble finding us once they get to the main intersection. We spend a lot of time out at different sites, checking on how the work is progressing, but this office is where it all starts. Sometimes we get so caught up in a project that we don't notice the sun going down over the chowk. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small team of us who enjoy the process of making a room look better than it did before. We don't use fancy jargon when we talk to people. We just show them what can be done with the space they have. It’s a practical job that requires a lot of patience and many cups of tea to get through the day.
