You will find us at Sterling House in Flat 107. We are on Convent Street in the Camp area of Pune. It is a quiet building, and being right next to Choksey School means we hear the school bell and the kids playing during the day. AR Mehmood Memon & Associates is basically a small team working out of this apartment-style office. It’s a comfortable place, not like those cold, glass-walled offices in the IT parks. We have been here since 1984, so we have seen the whole neighborhood change over the decades. The walls are lined with project folders from years ago. We don’t put on airs here. If you come by, you’ll likely see us hunched over desks or talking on the phone with contractors. Camp is a great place to work because of the old trees and the sense of history. Sometimes we walk down the street to get some air when a design is getting frustrating. We focus on the practical side of things. We don't use big words to explain what we do. It’s about making sure the plumbing works and the walls are straight. We have our regulars who have been coming to us for years, and we appreciate that. It’s just a steady, daily grind of making sure the drawings are ready and the clients are informed. We like the pace of life here on Convent Street.
