Poona Film Centre

Poona Film Centre is located on the third floor of Siddhart Chamber, right at Appa Balwant Chowk in Budhwar Peth. This part of the city is always crowded and noisy, with people and vehicles everywhere. To get to us, you have to head up to the third floor, which is a bit of a climb if the lift is busy or not working. We have been here for a long time, dealing with film equipment and everything related to it. The office has an old-school feel to it, with shelves full of gear and parts that have been around for years. We don't have any modern, minimalist decor; it’s a working space where things are put where they fit. We spend our time helping people find the right equipment or fixing things that have stopped working. Budhwar Peth is a historic area, and being in Siddhart Chamber feels like being in the heart of the action. We see filmmakers, students, and hobbyists coming through our doors looking for something specific for their projects. We don't have a polished sales team. We just know our equipment and we talk to people about what they need for their shoots. It’s a small, dedicated team here, and we usually have tea while we discuss the day's tasks. It’s a lived-in space that reflects how long we’ve been part of the film community in this city.
