You’ll find us at Plot No 31 in the Pratham Residency, which is part of Rao Colony in Talegaon Dabhade. It’s a bit of a trek from the main Pune city, but we like the atmosphere out here in Maval. The air is a bit cleaner and things aren't as rushed. Our foundation is based in this residential area because it puts us right in the middle of the community. We use one of the units as our main office. It’s got a few tables, some computers that are a bit slow sometimes, and a whole lot of files. We call it Apkuber Kalyan Foundation. It’s mostly about helping folks in the local area get their lives on track. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything fancy like that. Most people hear about us through word of mouth. Someone tells a neighbor, and then they show up at our door in Rao Colony. We spend our mornings going through emails and our afternoons meeting people. Sometimes we have meetings out on the porch when the weather is nice. We aren't trying to be some massive organization. We just want to do right by the people living in Talegaon and Maval. It’s a quiet life here, but the work is steady. We just take it one day at a time, making sure we don’t lose track of the small details that actually matter to people in the neighborhood.
