Anwar-E-Hind Social Foundation

Anwar-E-Hind Social Foundation is based in Nana Peth, over at Flat No. 305 on the 3rd floor of Sterling Enclave. The building is a bit confusing because the address lists a whole range of numbers like 1, 1-A, 4, 5, 7, and 8, but once you find Sterling Enclave, you’re in the right place. Nana Peth is a very old and crowded part of Pune, so there’s always something happening right outside our window. Our office is just a regular flat where we’ve set up some tables and chairs to work. It’s a simple setup because we don’t need much to do our social work. People from all over the neighborhood drop in to ask for help or just to talk about local issues. We don’t have any polished presentations or corporate brochures. We just listen to what people say and try to figure out a solution. The building doesn't have a lift that always works, so we often end up walking up to the third floor. It’s a busy place with lots of other families living in the enclave, so it feels very much like a part of the community. We’ve been here for a good amount of time and everyone knows us as the folks in 305. We aren't a big organization, just a few people trying to help out where we can. It’s hard work, but we like being right here in the heart of the city.
