Aniket Metal Industries is located way out at 67 Amale Ali in Sangawade. It’s in Taluka Maval, which is quite a bit of a drive from the main Pune city center. We start early before it gets too hot because the tin roof holds the heat in the afternoon. Sangawade is a quiet area for the most part, except for the noise we make inside. You won't find any corporate suits here. We wear boots and clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. There’s a lot of heavy lifting and the smell of metal is always around. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s a simple way of running things. We’ve been at this spot in Maharashtra for a while now. The road to Amale Ali can be bumpy, especially during the monsoon when the rain really comes down hard. We keep the machines running and make sure the orders go out on the trucks. It’s honest work and we don’t try to make it sound like something it isn't. We just do the job and head home.
