Anek Foundation

Our place is Plot No. 603, over in the E-Wing of Tanishq Park on Jail Road. Nashik Road can get pretty crowded, especially during rush hour, but we have tucked ourselves away in a corner of the building. Anek Foundation is basically run by a few of us who grew up around here. We are not a corporate setup. We do not have a receptionist or a lobby with coffee. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us working on a laptop or sorting through some papers. The building is okay, though the elevator acts up sometimes, so we end up taking the stairs. We started this because we had some free time and wanted to do something for the community. It is not always easy keeping things running smoothly. There are bills to pay and schedules that never seem to stay on track. But we show up every day and do what we can. We are not trying to impress anyone with big reports or fancy talk. Most of our work is just talking to people and trying to solve small problems before they get bigger. Jail Road is a busy area, and there is always something happening outside. We like being in the middle of it. If the door is open, someone is usually there. It is just a simple office for simple work. We keep it honest and try not to overcomplicate things with too much process or planning.
