About Amod Alukar Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Pune
I've been working here at Shaniwar Peth 84/8580/31 for a while now. It's an old neighborhood, and the office reflects that kind of vibe. Amod Alukar Architect is basically just us sitting around drawing boards and computers all day. Usually, the desk is covered in rolls of tracing paper and half-empty coffee cups. People stop by to talk about their house plans or just to see how a project is coming along. It gets busy during the middle of the week, but that's how it is in this part of town. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just some chairs and a lot of sketches pinned to the walls. Sometimes the traffic outside gets loud, but we've gotten used to it. The work is mostly just trying to figure out how to make a space functional without overthinking it too much. We spend a lot of time measuring things and re-drawing lines when they don't look right. It's not glamorous, but it’s what we do here every day. It feels like a real part of the community because we’ve been at this address for quite some time. Most of our tools are just pencils and software. It's a small team, and we all know each other's habits. If you walk in, you'll probably see someone arguing over a structural detail or looking for a misplaced eraser. It’s a bit messy, but that’s how the creative process usually looks for us at the office.
