Our workshop is over in the Hadapsar Industrial Estate, unit 102 B. It’s where Amijay Labels does all its work. The estate is pretty big, so it took us a while to get settled when we first moved in. It’s an industrial area, so don’t expect anything pretty to look at. There’s a lot of metal, concrete, and trucks around. We spend our days making labels of all sorts for different companies. The machines make a constant humming sound that you eventually stop hearing after working here for a few hours. We have rows of workstations and a small office area tucked in the back corner. It gets a bit dusty, but that’s just how it is in Hadapsar. We have a small group of workers who really know their way around the equipment. We don't really do much marketing or anything; people usually find us through word of mouth or because they’re also in the estate. We eat our lunch together near the main door where there's a bit of a breeze. It's a straightforward place with no frills. We get the specs for a label, we set up the machines, and we run the job. Sometimes things break down and we have to fix them ourselves. It’s hands-on work. We’re not corporate types. We just like to get the orders finished and sent out on time. It's a simple life here at the estate and we're okay with that.
