Altech Batteries

Our shop, Altech Batteries, is at 46 Malaviya Street in Ramnagar. We are right across the road from the Seetharam Hotel, which is a place everyone seems to know. The shop is pretty small and it’s packed with batteries for all sorts of things, from cars to backup systems. Because we have so much stock in such a small space, it can be a bit of a squeeze to move around. There’s a counter at the front where we talk to people and test their old batteries. We spend a lot of our time carrying heavy lead-acid units back and forth. It’s a bit of a messy job, and our hands are usually a little dirty by the end of the shift. Ramnagar is a busy area, so there are always people and scooters zooming past the front door. We don't have any fancy decorations or a big showroom. It’s just shelves, tools, and batteries. We’ve been here for a good while and most of the locals know where to find us if they have a power problem. We don't go in for big advertisements. We just rely on being in a good spot and doing the work as it comes. Sometimes it gets really busy when there’s a heatwave or a cold snap and everyone's battery dies at once. We just take it one customer at a time. It’s a basic, honest business and we like it that way.
