Akshay Box Manufacturing Works

Our place is located over in Sant Tukaram Nagar, right in the Pimpri area. If you know Pune, you know it gets quite busy around here. We’ve been at 45/379 for quite some time now making boxes. The floor is usually covered in cardboard scraps and the machines make a lot of noise, so it is hard to hear sometimes. It is a dusty job, but someone has to do it. We are not a big fancy corporation with suits. It’s just us in our work clothes getting the orders done. Most of the guys here have been working these machines for years. We know the machines’ quirks, like how the big one needs a little tap sometimes to keep going. We don't spend money on fancy signs or websites. Most people find us just by walking in or hearing about us from the neighbor shops. Pimpri is a good place to be because everything is close by. The rain gets a bit loud on the tin roof during the monsoon, which can be distracting. We just keep our heads down and pack the boxes. It's honest work. Nothing more to it. We don't have a receptionist, so you just walk in and find someone. That's how we’ve always done things here. We just want to get through the day and do right by our neighbors and families. It is not glamorous but we like it.
