Ajay Offsets Pvt. Ltd.

Our shop is tucked away in the Kaka Halwai Estate on Pune Satara Road. If you know the area, it’s always got a lot of activity going on with different businesses. We’ve been running Ajay Offsets Pvt. Ltd. from this same spot for quite some time now. The smell of ink and the constant sound of the machines running is basically what our days are made of. It’s not a quiet place, that’s for sure. We started out with just a couple of small presses and slowly added more machines as we needed them over the years. It’s a bit cramped in here now with all the paper stacks and the bigger machines taking up all the floor space, but we make it work. Most of the guys here have been with us since they were young men. We don't really have a big corporate structure or fancy titles. If there’s a problem with a print job, we just stand around the machine and figure out how to fix it right then and there. Sometimes things get very hectic when a big order comes in at the last minute. We end up staying late and drinking way too much tea or coffee from the stall down the road. It’s a lot of manual work, checking the colors against the samples, and making sure the cuts are straight. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. It’s mostly about the feel of the paper. We’re just local people doing a job.
