Our office is actually inside a residential building, Rakshaknagar Phase II, over in Kharadi. We are in Building Number 9, Flat G-2. It’s a ground floor spot which is handy because the lifts in these older buildings can be a bit temperamental. Being on Nagar Road means we hear the traffic all day, especially the heavy trucks and buses moving toward the city or out toward the highway. Kharadi has changed a lot since Affirm Services Consultancy started here. It used to be much quieter, but now there are malls and big IT parks everywhere around us. Our place still feels like a home though, probably because it literally is a flat. We kept the kitchen area for making coffee and storing everyone's lunch boxes. Most of the work involves talking to people about their careers or helping companies find staff, so there is a lot of paper moving around and people talking on their mobiles. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters with a marble lobby. It’s just a few rooms with desks squeezed in where they fit. We like it this way because it’s easygoing. You can hear the neighbors occasionally and the delivery guys always know where to find us. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just want to get the paperwork done right and make sure people get what they need without too much fuss. It gets a bit dusty with all the construction nearby, but that is just how it is in Pune lately.
