Aapli Maanse Foundation

We are Aapli Maanse Foundation. Our office is in Shree Shiv Shankar Apartment, over in Vijay Nagar. It is flat 302. We have been here for some time now. The name of our group basically means "our people," and that is really what we focus on. Just the folks living around here in this part of town. We do not have a big corporate office or a board of directors. It is just a group of us who grew up in the area and wanted to do something good. We spend most days just checking in on people and seeing where we can lend a hand. Sometimes it is helping with a local festival, and other times it is helping a family get their documents sorted out. It is very everyday stuff. The apartment is usually pretty quiet, except when we have a meeting and everyone starts talking over each other at the same time. We do not have much in the way of funding, so we have to be very smart with how we spend every single rupee. We do not bother with marketing or anything like that. If we do a good job, people just tell their friends and family. That is how we have always operated. It is honest and it keeps us connected to the neighborhood. We are just regular people trying to be helpful neighbors to everyone around us.
