Aakash Packing & Shipping

We are over here at Shop No 5 in Deepali Apts. Bhau Patil Rd is usually quite a mess with traffic, but we manage to get things done. I started Aakash Packing & Shipping because there was always a need for people to move stuff in Bopodi. It isn't a fancy office. We have rolls of bubble wrap stacked in the corner and heaps of brown tape that always seems to run out at the wrong time. My hands are usually a bit sticky from the adhesive by the end of the day. We spend most of our time wrapping up kitchen plates or making sure a TV doesn't get a scratch on it. Sometimes the boxes are heavy and my back feels it the next morning. It’s just how it goes in this line of work. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know how to load a truck so things don't slide around when the driver hits a pothole. You see a lot of families moving out and new ones moving in around here. It’s a lot of lifting and carrying, honestly. The shop gets a bit dusty with all the cardboard particles flying around. We just open up in the morning, check the schedule, and start packing. It’s basic work but it keeps us busy. People stop by the shop to ask about prices and we just tell them how it is.
