If you’re driving down towards Kondhwa Budruk, look for the HPCL petrol pump. We’re right opposite it, in shop number 18 at S No 105. Aakar Plastic Arts isn't a very large shop, but we’ve managed to cram a lot into it. We work mostly with plastic, doing various kinds of arts and signs. The front of the shop is usually filled with samples of things we’ve made over the years. It gets quite dusty because of all the traffic on the main road, so we’re always wiping things down. We don't have a big fancy showroom. Most of the work happens right there in the back of the shop where you can hear the sound of cutting and sanding. It’s a hands-on job and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We get all sorts of people walking in—some know exactly what they want, and others just have a vague idea. We don't have a polished sales pitch. We just show them what we can do and see if it fits their needs. Being near the petrol pump means there’s always people around, which is nice. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us. We don't aim to be the biggest shop in Pune, just a reliable place where you can get your plastic work done without any unnecessary drama or delays.
