A1 Men

Our shop is tucked away at Shop No. 1 on Canal Road, right here in Karve Nagar. If you know where Trimurti Gym is, we’re just a stone's throw away from there. It's a handy spot because guys often stop by after their workout to get cleaned up. Hingne Budrukh has changed a lot over the years, more traffic and more people, but the vibe on this road stays pretty much the same. I spend most of my day standing here, looking out at the bikes going past the canal. The shop isn't fancy. I’ve got my mirrors, my tools, and a couple of fans that stay on all day because it gets quite stuffy in the afternoons. I like the area because everyone knows everyone. People walk by and wave through the glass. Sometimes I’m just sharpening my shears or organizing the cupboard when a regular walks in without an appointment, and we just fit them in. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us doing the work. My hands are usually busy from morning until we close up at night. There’s always some dust from the road coming in, so I’m constantly wiping down the counters. It’s just a normal day-to-day business for us. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It's just A1 Men, a place where you can get your hair sorted. We stay open until late most nights unless something comes up.
