A L Inamdar is located right near the Makkai Bridge in Vidyanagar. The exact spot is 33/1/15. It’s a good location because everyone knows the bridge, so we don’t have to give long directions. This is a family-run kind of place. We’ve seen the area grow quite a bit over the last decade. Back when we started, there were fewer buildings around here. Now it's quite packed. We handle a variety of general trade items. It’s mostly stuff for daily use or small construction needs. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things high up toward the ceiling. Sometimes it's a bit of a struggle to get the ladder out and find what someone is looking for. We don't use a lot of fancy technology. A pen and a thick ledger usually do the trick for us. It’s quiet in the mornings, which I like. I usually sweep the front area before the traffic starts picking up near the bridge. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of people. It’s just us. People stop by for a chat as much as they do for buying things. We value that connection with the locals. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow lane, but we manage. We’ve been here long enough that we know how to handle the small headaches that come with running a business in Vidyanagar.
