Valley Agro Cold-Chain Private Limited is located over in Hanji Mohalla, which is part of the Kakapora area. We deal with the cold storage side of things, which is pretty much essential around here if you don't want everything to rot. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we keep the refrigeration units running. It can get a bit loud with the machinery, but that's the sound of work getting done. We spend a lot of time monitoring temperatures and making sure the loading bays are clear. It’s a bit of a logistics puzzle every day, especially when multiple trucks show up at the same time in Kakapora. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy documents. We just write down what comes in and what goes out. The guys working here are all locals from the Mohalla or nearby. We know the roads and we know how the weather affects the fruit. It’s a practical business. We don't have a lot of fluff. If the power goes out, we have to move fast, so there is always a bit of tension in the air, but we are used to it by now. It is just about keeping the produce fresh for as long as possible so the farmers don't lose their shirts. It’s a simple goal but it takes a lot of effort and constant attention every day.
