Shirdee College Of Education

This college is located in Newa, which is right in Pulwama. We’ve been operating here for a while, helping people who want to become teachers. It’s not a huge campus with glass buildings or anything like that. It’s a practical place where students come to attend their lectures and get their work done. Pulwama can be a busy area, but once you get inside the gates, it's mostly just students carrying their bags and talking about their upcoming exams. We have classrooms that are usually full during the morning hours. The staff here is local, and we understand the challenges students face getting here from different parts of the district. We keep the library open for those who need a quiet spot to study because it can get loud at home. There isn't much flair to the way we do things. We follow the syllabus and make sure the paperwork for the university is handled. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out or move closer to the windows. It’s a straightforward environment for learning. Most people who come here are serious about getting their degrees so they can go out and work in schools themselves. We see a lot of hard work happening in these rooms every day. It’s just a regular college doing its job in the middle of Newa without any unnecessary fuss. We take things as they come.
