We handle imports and exports for various things. Hatims Import Export Private Limited is what the registration papers say, but we just think of it as our daily job. It is not a huge fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. We spend a lot of our time on the phone and checking containers or shipments. Sometimes the weather in Kashmir makes the logistics a bit of a headache, especially when the roads get blocked by snow or rain. But we manage to get through it. The staff here is small and we all know each other well. We often eat lunch together and complain about the heat or the cold depending on the season. It’s a lot of paperwork and making sure the numbers match up at the end of the day. We’ve been behind the bank for a bit now. People in the neighborhood know us. We don’t really do much advertising because we’re usually too busy actually working. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening.
