Concrete Cement Work

We sit here near the Hansiya Masjid most days. Concrete Cement Work is just what the name says really. It gets hot out here in Tiken and the work is heavy but we get it done. People from the village come by when they need a floor poured or some small repairs. We don't have a big office or anything, just the space where we keep the bags and the tools. Tashil area is quiet usually. Most mornings start early before it gets too warm. We deal with sand, gravel, and the grey powder every single day. Sometimes the truck shows up late and we just wait around. That's how it goes. We’ve seen a lot of houses go up around here lately. It's dusty work and your hands get rough after a few years. We don't do much fancy stuff, just solid work that stays put. If someone needs a wall or a patch of ground smoothed out, they know where to find us. We've been in this spot for a good while now. The masjid is a good landmark because everyone knows it. We just keep our heads down and keep mixing. There’s always another pile of cement to move or another job down the road. It’s just how we make a living here in the village. Nothing special about it, but it keeps us busy. We like the quiet life out here and the people we see every day.
