The India Cement Ltd.

The India Cement Ltd. is out in Chilamkur Village, which is within the Yeruguntla Mandal of Kadapa district. This is a big area and the landscape around here is quite distinct. We have a large presence in the village because of the nature of the cement industry. There are always trucks moving in and out, carrying loads across the district. It can get very dusty and the sun in Kadapa is known for being quite strong. Our facility is a major part of the local scenery in Chilamkur. We have a lot of people from the nearby areas working with us. It is a busy place with a lot of heavy machinery and production going on all the time. Despite being a larger name, the day-to-day feel here is very much tied to the local land and the people of Yeruguntla. We don't go in for much talk; we just focus on the output. The site is spread out and has different sections for different parts of the process. You can see the structures from a distance when you are driving through the mandal. It is a functional, industrial environment. We have been part of this village for a long time now. The routine is steady and the work is hard, but that is how the cement business is. We just keep the operations running and manage the logistics day by day.
