Even though our name says Bangalore, we are actually located up in Kotagiri, in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. Our address is in Konvakarai, and it is a beautiful, quiet place compared to the big city. Working with refractories means we deal with materials that can handle a lot of heat, which is ironic since the weather up here is usually so cool and misty. The office is a bit different from what you’d expect for a company like ours; it’s surrounded by a lot of greenery and fresh air. We have been here for a good while, and we’ve gotten used to the slower pace of life in the hills. The commute to get materials up and down the winding roads can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, especially when it rains heavily. Our team is small, and we mostly look after the technical side of the refractory business from this location. We don't have a big storefront because most of our clients are industrial plants far away. Most of the day is spent on the phone or working through orders and shipping schedules. It is a very specific type of work, and it requires a lot of patience. We like the fact that we can do our jobs and then step outside into the mountain air. It keeps us grounded and focused on the tasks we have. We aren't trying to be big, just useful.
