Sr Natural Gems

Our shop is at No. 11-10-3 on Kandanur Main Road, right near the petrol bunk. If you miss the turn, you end up halfway down the road before you realize it. Sr Natural Gems is where we spend our time looking at stones and sorting them by size and color. It’s a bit of a dusty location because of all the trucks going to the petrol bunk, so we have to wipe the glass cases every single morning. We don't have any fancy lighting, just some old bulbs that make everything look a bit yellow. Most of the day is spent waiting for people to stop by or checking the quality of the new stones that come in. It’s a lot of sitting and looking through a magnifying glass until your eyes start to ache. Sometimes the main road gets so loud we can’t even hear the radio. We have a small back room where we keep the tools and a stove for making coffee. It’s a family-run thing, so we don't have a boss telling us what to do, just the work itself. People come in asking about prices and we tell them what we know. It’s not a big glamorous showroom, just a simple place on the main road. We’ve been here for years and have seen the shops around us change while we just keep doing the same thing every day.
