Table Products

Table Products is our small place on the Nation Highway Road in Alangudi. We’ve been here for a while now. My name is Kumar and I mostly handle the front side of things while the other guys are working in the back. It gets really dusty out here right by the highway because of all the big trucks passing by all day, but you get used to that after a year or two. We mostly just deal with table products, which is a simple enough name for people to remember when they are looking for us. Some days are much busier than others, especially when the weather is nice and folks are out traveling more. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we keep our stock and talk to whoever walks through the door. Most of our neighbors are also in some kind of trade or another, so it’s a pretty hardworking area. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the middle of the afternoon, so we just sit outside on plastic chairs and wait for it to come back on. We try to keep the place organized, though sometimes the piles of inventory get a bit high when a big shipment comes in unexpectedly. If you’re driving down the main road, you will see our sign. It isn't the biggest sign in Alangudi, but it’s there. We spend most of our time just making sure the orders are ready and that people find what they need without too much fuss.
