Ribbo Fashions

We are located on Balaji Nagar Street in the Veerapandi area of Tiruppur. If you know anything about Tiruppur, you know it is all about the garment industry. Our shop, Ribbo Fashions, is right in the middle of all that action. There are sewing machines running in almost every building nearby, and the sound of it becomes like background noise after a while. We spend our days surrounded by piles of knitwear and t-shirts. The space we have is a bit small, so we have to stack the boxes pretty high to make everything fit. We usually have a lot of loose threads on our clothes by the time we go home. The street outside is narrow and can get quite muddy when it rains, making it hard for the trucks to get through to us. We have a small crew of people who help with the cutting and the packing. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. People just come to the door when they need to pick something up or drop off materials. We drink tea from the local vendor a few times a day and talk about the price of cotton or the latest news in the neighborhood. It is hard work, but it is what everyone does around here in Veerapandi. We try to keep the place organized but with so much fabric moving, it’s a struggle.
