Podar Jumbo Kids Centers

Out here in Alangudi, things usually move at a slightly slower pace than in the big cities. We are tucked away in Balamurugan Gardens, which is a fairly quiet spot compared to the main roads. Since we handle the younger children, the mornings are always a bit loud with some crying and a lot of running around. Our rooms are filled with toys that have seen better days and posters that we have had to tape back up a dozen times. The floors are often covered in crayon marks or small bits of paper from whatever craft project was happening that morning. We do not try to look like a polished corporate office because this is a place for kids to be kids. The staff spends a lot of time making sure everyone has their snacks and that nobody wanders off. It is honest, tiring work. We see the same parents every day at the gate, mostly people from the nearby houses who we know by name. The trees around the center provide a bit of shade, which is really nice when the summer months get particularly hot. It is not a massive operation. We just have a few rooms, a bit of outdoor space for playing, and plenty of daily noise. We deal with the usual things like scraped knees and forgotten lunch boxes. Most of the time, we are just trying to keep the schedule on track while making sure the little ones are okay.
