M.Malar Hospital

M.Malar Hospital is sitting over on Ts no.5590 South Fourth Street. It is an older neighborhood, and the street is not particularly wide, so parking can be a real headache if you bring a car. Most people just walk or come by cycle. The building itself has been there for quite some time, and it shows its age in some spots. We have a small entrance that leads right into the waiting area. There are a few rows of plastic chairs where people sit and wait their turn. We don't have a fancy paging system, so the nurse just sticks her head out and calls the next name. It is a small team here, just enough to keep things running from morning until late evening. We see a lot of common stuff, like seasonal flu or kids with scraped knees. The doctors here are local people too, so they know most of the families who come through the door. We keep a few basic supplies on hand, but we are not a giant medical center with all the latest gadgets. We just provide a place for people to get checked out when they are not feeling well. It is a straightforward, no-nonsense kind of place. You come in, you see the doctor, you get your medicine, and you go home. That is pretty much how we have always done things on South Fourth Street for the community.
