Maadhavi Earth Movers

We started Maadhavi Earth Movers here in Mela Muthurayan Patti because we saw people needed help with heavy lifting around Vellalur. It is not an easy job. Most days we are out in the sun near Tiruchi dealing with the red soil and rocks. The machines get really dirty. We spend a lot of time cleaning the tracks and checking the oil levels so things don't break down when someone is counting on us. Our yard is simple. It is basically just a place to park the equipment and keep some spare parts. Sometimes people come by to ask if we are free for a digging job next week. We try to be fair about it. If the machine is working somewhere else, we tell them straight. We don't like to overpromise. The roads around here can be narrow so moving the big loaders takes a bit of planning. It’s mostly family running things. My cousin helps with the bookings and I look after the actual site work. We have been in this part of Tiruchi for years now. People know where to find us. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the gate. It gets loud when we start the engines early in the morning, but that is just how it is. We keep going until the work is finished or the light fades. It's honest work. Sometimes the weather makes things hard. If it rains too much, the soil gets too soft for the heavy tires. We just wait it out.
