Our workshop is located at Number 4 on the Dharapuram Road side, right near the Knp Colony Post office. Being opposite 60 Feet Road makes it easy for the delivery vans to find us, though the turn can be tight when the road is crowded. Inside, the atmosphere is all about production. We handle various types of fashion items, mostly focusing on the basic stuff that people need every day. The building is an older one, so it has some quirks, like the light switches that sometimes stick and the floor that isn't perfectly level in the storage room. We spend a lot of time counting pieces and checking the stitching on the shirts. Every morning, the first task is to check the schedule and see what needs to be finished by evening. There is a lot of noise from the cutting machines, so we have to shout a bit to hear each other. We keep a big pot of tea going for the staff because the work is tiring. The area around Tiruppur is always moving, and we are just one small part of that big machine. We have stacks of cardboard boxes piled up near the back door ready for the evening pickup. It isn't a glamorous job, but we take it seriously and try to stay on top of the orders. The heat in the afternoon can be a lot, but we just keep the windows open.
