Our place is on Anna Salai, right in the heart of the Pondicherry Bazaar. If you look across the street, you’ll see Vysyal Street. It’s a very busy part of town with people walking back and forth all day long. We are at number 80-4. The building is tucked in with all the other shops and businesses. It gets quite noisy outside with the scooters and the people shouting to each other, but inside it’s a bit more manageable. We spend our mornings opening up the shutters and getting the place ready for whoever walks in. It isn't a massive corporate office. It’s more of a local spot where we know a lot of the faces that pass by every morning on their way to work. Sometimes we stand near the door just to get a bit of air when the fans aren't enough. The humidity in Pondicherry can be something else, so we keep the fans going at full speed. We don't have a lot of decorative stuff hanging around. We keep it simple and functional. People come to us for various reasons throughout the day, and we just try to handle each person as they come. It’s a small team here. We share our lunches in the back room and talk about what’s happening in the bazaar or how the cricket match went last night. It’s a decent place to work and we like being right in the middle of everything. We'll be here until the sun goes down and we lock up.
