Thekkeyil Earth Movers

You can find our place in Pallur, which is part of the Mahe Post area. We have been running Thekkeyil Earth Movers from this location for several years now. It is a small operation. We have a couple of machines that we use for various digging and clearing jobs around the town and the nearby villages. The machines are usually parked in an open lot, and we spend a good amount of our time just making sure they are clean and working properly for the next job. Pallur is generally a quiet place, but there is always some small construction project going on where a JCB is needed to move some earth. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy sales office. If someone needs a machine, they usually just walk into the yard or give me a call on my mobile phone. We talk about what kind of work they need, see if the machine can actually get into their site, and then we figure out a time to start. Sometimes the narrow roads around Mahe make it really difficult to move the heavy equipment from one place to another. We have to be very careful with the overhead power lines and the tight corners. I handle all the paperwork myself sitting at a small desk. It isn’t a fancy corporate setup, we just try to get the work done.
